The goal of our scholarship program is to support our local youth in their pursuit of higher education by awarding a $500 scholarship to outstanding students in your schools. We take a unique approach to selecting and recognizing our student leaders by offering alternative ways to demonstrate their commitment to education and the community. IMCB supports community and youth leadership, because our goal is to multiply the impact of our participation by adding it to yours!

High School seniors are asked to complete a simple application requesting student information including GPA, design an advertising campaign or submit an essay of 500 words or less that represents their idea of community service. Ads may be created free-hand or electronically and becomes the property of the Bank for possible future advertising. Students must provide two community or educational references. A minimum 2.5 GPA and a record of good standing in the school and community is required to qualify for the scholarship award. All applications must be received by April 15th of the school year. A regional bank advisory board will review the submitted applications and select the award recipients. Students will be selected based on concept of community service as well as quality of references and community involvement.

The Bank will then award the $500.00 scholarships to the selected students along with a certificate of recognition to be presented to the students during the school's award ceremony. The students are responsible for submitting school information to the Bank. We will send the scholarship check directly to the school the student will attend along with a letter on behalf of the student. Each student will receive an award packet with instructions at the time of certificate presentation. The selected student may be featured in the local newspapers and media within their community. Ads may also be used in the program advertisement for the following year and may appear on flyers, posters, and print advertising.
